In just one year, dedicated care and compassion can transform the lives of roaming dogs, turning struggle into thriving
2024 Overview – Helping stray and community animals in Thailand
We are excited to share the results of our work in 2024. Our mission to reduce the suffering of stray and community animals through CNVR (Catch, Neuter, Vaccination & Release) is made possible by your support and our valued partnership with Dogs Trust Worldwide.
Spaying and Neutering
In 2024, the PAT Clinic successfully spayed and neutered 3,167 animals, a critical step in reducing the stray population. Our aim is to increase the health and welfare of each individual animal and prevent unnecessary suffering for countless more unwanted puppies and kittens. This year’s success brought our total sterilisations since re-opening in early 2023 to 6,118 animals.
Vaccinations
We administered 4,965 vaccines for deadly diseases, including rabies. These vital efforts are key to saving lives, preventing the spread of illness, and ensuring the health of both animals and the communities they live in.
Compassionate Care
Our team treated 527 animals with moderate to severe skin conditions and infections, and 3,936 were treated for parasites.
Feeding Program
In collaboration with local communities, we helped 412 vulnerable animals, mostly mothers and their pups, receive the nourishment they needed to survive.
Specialised Treatment
The clinic treated 26 cases of Transmissible Venereal Tumours (TVT), a condition requiring specialised care. 42 animals also received other urgent medical care. Our clinic was able to offer effective treatment and dedicated support to these animals thanks to generous donations from our supporters.
Education
To promote better coexistence between people and animals, our team conducted educational sessions at local schools, reaching 238 children. We focused our sessions on how to live safely with stray animals, raised awareness about rabies, and advocated for the rights that all animals deserve.
Partnership with Dogs Trust
These achievements would not be possible without the generous support of our donors and our invaluable partnership with Dogs Trust Worldwide. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of Thailand’s stray animals.
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on the successes of 2024, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported our mission. Looking forward to 2025, we remain committed to doing even more for animals in need. With your continued help, we can build a better future for Thailand’s stray and roaming animals.
Stay tuned for more updates on our ongoing efforts to create a brighter tomorrow for animals.
