5,000+ Sterilised: A New Milestone Achieved!

We’re excited to share the impact that supporters like you have made for stray and community dogs and cats in Thailand this September.

We’re thrilled to announce that our dedicated team sterilised 238 animals across Cha Am and Hua Hin this month, surpassing the significant milestone of 5,000 sterilisations since the clinic reopened last year.

With the ongoing issue of homeless animals on Thailand’s streets, sterilisation remains the most compassionate solution for population control. Puppies born on the streets often face dire circumstances, including starvation, disease, or accidents within their first few weeks. Sterilisation not only helps manage the number of stray puppies and kittens but also alleviates their suffering.

On September 28 2024, World Rabies Day, our clinic vaccinated an amazing 80 dogs at a local shelter, bringing our total vaccine administration to 516 this month! These efforts are crucial in preventing the spread of the virus and protecting both animals and humans alike.

Additionally, in September, we provided supplementary food to 15 vulnerable puppies and dogs. 219 dogs received deworming and parasite treatments, 42 were treated for mange and other skin conditions, and five dogs received urgent medical care.

Now for the heart-warming news: three adorable puppies found their forever homes with loving adopters, but we still have other puppies and dogs looking for loving families! If you or someone you know can offer a caring home to one of our sweet and socialised dogs, puppies, or kittens, please reach out by emailing pat@wfft.org
