January 2025 Update
2025 is already off to a busy start, and January has been another productive month for People & Animals Thailand as we keep working toward our goal of improving the lives of stray and roaming animals. Thanks to the generosity of animal lovers like you and our dedicated partner, Dogs Trust Worldwide, we’ve been able to help hundreds of animals in various ways.
In January, 232 animals were sterilised—an essential step in reducing the local stray population and improving each animal’s quality of life. Spaying and neutering prevents unwanted litters and significantly lowers the number of animals born on the streets. Sadly, many of these vulnerable puppies and kittens face severe challenges, often not surviving past their early weeks. By reducing births, we can minimise the suffering caused by hunger, disease, and accidents.
In addition, 370 vaccinations were administered to protect animals from deadly diseases like rabies, which pose a serious threat to both animals and humans alike.
Outreach efforts included providing food to 30 vulnerable puppies and dogs, helping them in their fight for survival. We also treated 29 dogs for ticks, fleas, mange, and other painful skin conditions. 264 animals received deworming or parasite treatments, and we addressed urgent medical needs for 1 dog with wounds.
Your generosity creates a real and lasting difference in the lives of Thailand’s stray and roaming animals.
