Celebrating Success on World Rabies Day 2024

We’re thrilled to share this year’s World Rabies Day (28 September) success. With the generosity of our donors and the support of amazing community members, we vaccinated 80 dogs at a local shelter against this deadly but preventable disease.

But our mission didn’t stop there. We also provided essential medication to several dogs suffering from severe skin conditions and other health issues. Thanks to animal lovers like you, these pups are on the road to recovery.

Raising Awareness About Rabies

World Rabies Day is more than just a date on the calendar; it’s an essential reminder of the ongoing fight against this preventable viral disease that affects both humans and animals. World Rabies Day emphasises the need for:

1. Vaccination: Vaccination is the most effective way to protect your pets and communities from rabies. By ensuring your furry friends are up-to-date on their vaccines, you’re not just safeguarding their health; you’re also contributing to a larger public health initiative.

2. Responsible Pet Ownership: Being a responsible pet owner means understanding your pet’s needs and ensuring their safety. This includes regular veterinary visits, proper vaccinations, and educating yourself about potential health risks.

3. Public Education: Knowledge is power! By spreading the word on how to prevent rabies and recognise its symptoms, we can help people take proactive measures to keep both pets and humans safe.

Together, We Can Make a Difference!

As we reflect on the success of World Rabies Day, we’re reminded of the collective power we have to eliminate rabies and protect our loved ones—both two-legged and four-legged. We are incredibly grateful to our supporters who made this event possible, and we look forward to continuing our mission with your help.

Stay tuned for updates, and thank you for being a part of our journey toward a rabies-free future!
